All new and current clients must familiarize themselves with these policies and procedures before each groom!

Thank you for choosing Pooch Paws To Go for your pet’s grooming needs. My goal is to provide your pet with the utmost care and attention to detail and professionalism. Every family will be asked to review the following policy agreement:

I entrust my pet(s) to Pooch Paws To Go and am aware that all due care will be taken with my pet for the safety of pet and groomer.

I am aware that a neglected coat can be cause for problem during or after grooming, such as clipper/brush irritation, causing discomfort to the pet, and do not hold Pooch Paws To Go responsible. I understand that Pooch Paws To Go will notify me of any problems that may take place during the groom. I am aware that immediate first aid will be provided, in the event it is needed, by Pooch Paws To Go and that no surgery or medical procedure will take place.

Health & Behavior issues: It is the owner’s responsibility to inform Pooch Paws To Go of any medical, physical, emotional or behavioral problems, allergies, sensitivities or pre-existing conditions. If the pet is found to have flea/tick infestations, a capstar will be given for a quick kill of the insects. An additional fee of $35 will be added to the grooming price for debug and clean up as to prevent the spread and protect the next client(s).

Size Restriction: All dogs must be able to fit comfortably on the table and in the tub, and must enter with relative ease and minimal hesitation. Some breeds may be too large, i.e. Newfoundland’s, Great Pyrenees, Golden and Labrador Retrievers, etc. It is at the discretion of Pooch Paws To Go to determine if a certain dog is “too large”.

In some cases a dog may become too aggressive, nervous, stressed, etc, to groom. This is determined on a case by case basis. Pooch Paws To Go has years of experience with these types of situations and is successful at grooming the majority of them. If for some reason it is determined that your pet or the groomer are no longer safe, the process will be stopped and your pet be returned home. A charge will be based on the amount of groom completed, with a minimum fee of $35.

At the owner’s discretion Pooch Paws To Go may enter your home while the owner is not there. The owner will provide access to the house, as previously discussed with Pooch Paws To Go. All keys, garage codes, etc. will remain absolutely private and secure at all times. If for some reason Pooch Paws To Go cannot enter the home, a fee of $35 will be billed to you. Pooch Paws To Go will make every effort to contact you before leaving to seek other methods of entry.

If you have an appointment scheduled with Pooch Paws To Go, and Pooch Paws To Go shows up to your house and you are not home (and have not provided other means of entry for Pooch Paws To Go), that appointment will be considered a "no-Show" and 100% of the average groom price will be require prior to any future appointments being scheduled. 

Payment options: Pooch Paws To Go accepts the follow types of payments: cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. There is a return check fee of $35 that must be paid prior to the next appointment. Payment is due at the time services are rendered. If you have not provided payment by the end of the appointment, there will be a “non-payment fee” of $35 added to your invoice and emailed to you.

All prices given are to be considered a quote and are not finalized until the end of the grooming appointment. Additional charges may apply due to dematting, deshedding, excessive coat, matting, flea treatment/clean up, etc.

During the winter months, Pooch Paws To Go has final discretion over rescheduling appointments during inclement weather. A general rule to follow is: if the school in your town or surrounding towns is closed, your pet’s appointment will most likely need to be rescheduled. Pooch Paws To Go will give as much notice as possible for any needed rescheduling’s. If your pet’s appointment is not cancelled you must make sure your driveways are cleared for Pooch Paws To Go to safely get to your house and that there is a spot to park. If for some reason Pooch Paws To Go cannot get to your home, you will be charged a service fee of $35. For example, if your driveway is not plowed, and you do not let Pooch Paws To Go know before your pet's appointment, a fee will be applied.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Pooch Paws To Go requires a 48-hour cancellation notice. This is extremely important as Pooch Paws To Go works by route and time allotted for the grooming process. We need 48 hours in order to rearrange the schedule and find a replacement. Failure to call/email/text 48 hours in advance will result in a $35 PER PET fee. Please understand that this time is reserved specifically for your pet(s), and other appointments are scheduled around that time. After two cancelled appointments a credit card will be require in order to keep/make future appointments. Any appointments cancelled from that point on will be considered a “no show”, and a fee of 100% of the grooming price will be charged to the credit card on file.
